Locate Management Institute

This 1 day (up to 8 hours) course is aimed at developing knowledge and skills associated with locating transmission pipeline facilities. It also provides advanced solutions to abnormal operating conditions (AOC's). This course was developed with input from industry subject matter experts. It details the necessary methods and procedures to safely perform locates as per applicable regulatory requirements, acts and industry best practices.

Version 5.0 of the Underground Facility Locator's Field Task Competency Manual is available now. The UFL Manual specifies Locator training standards and competencies requirements in an effort to increase the accuracy and reliability of locates. The Manual, developed by Locate Management Institute, contains task descriptions written by subject matter experts with input from industry stakeholders.
